UCAS points are required for most higher education courses (e.g. degrees at university). Depending on the course and education provider, the number of points required will vary.
Points are awarded after the successful completion of A-Levels, IB Diplomas/Certificates, BTEC or other programme.
Here's a chart to help you calculate your UCAS points from A-levels. (An AS level is half an A-level).
For example, BCC would give you 104 points.
Here's how to calculate UCAS points from BTEC Diploma grades. If you study a mixture of academic and vocational subjects, combine both scores to calculate your total UCAS points.
For example: BB (A-levels) + Distinction (BTEC) = 128
Here's the chart for converting IB single subjects to UCAS points. Example: if you studied an IBCP programme and obtained H5, H4, and Merit = 88.
Don't forget your project score! Add C grade = total 96.
T-Levels are a new qualification in the UK. The picture shows UCAS scores, equivalent of 3 A-Levels.
